So you don't live, work, attend school or worship in Houston or one of the many other Texas and South Carolina communities we serve. And you're not employed by one of our several dozen business partners. Can you still join HFCU? Yes! Just get involved with one of the organizations listed below.
- HFCU takes pride in our partnerships with organizations that align with our values as a "People Helping People" financial institution.
- Through membership, volunteering, or making a donation to one of these organizations, you qualify to become an HFCU member.
- Before completing your HFCU Membership Application, you must send a receipt or email confirmation of your membership, donation, or volunteer status to the HFCU Member Support Representative.
- After meeting these requirements, you may proceed with completing the HFCU Membership Application.*
Cornerstone Foundation – Friends of the Foundation
$15 Membership Fee
True to their “People Helping People” philosophy, Cornerstone is dedicated to helping credit unions make an impact in the lives of the members and well-being of communities they serve.
For a $15 annual fee, members receive a quarterly electronic newsletter from the Foundation on resources, programs, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities. They also gain access to HFCU financial products and services. And they may also benefit from services provided by BALANCE, a national nonprofit organization that offers free, one-on-one financial counseling, debt management services, financial education, and monthly webinars and workshops.
Rosenberg Railroad Museum
$35 Membership Fee
Rosenberg Railroad Museum began in 1992 when enthusiasts
formed a committee to establish a museum to preserve the railroad history of Fort Bend County. By 1993, committee chairman Judge Larry Wagenbach convinced the Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railway Company to donate 1.47 acres in downtown Rosenberg as a site for the Rosenberg Railroad Museum. Today, the museum continues its mission of education and preservation of Fort Bend County’s rich railroad history.
For a $35 annual fee, members receive unlimited museum admission for one year for one person during regular operating hours. They also receive newsletters, notification of special events, 10% discount at the gift shop and invitations to member-only events.
